Background information; growing up, Her family’s reaction towards segregation; living on a ranch, Children, living in Midland, hymns, schooling, traveling, Experiencing segregation as a child and adult, Moving to Plainview; World War II, Building a church in Plainview, renting the building, pioneering integration in the Plainview hospital, Dr. Wayland attending to her mother; getting a car after World War II, Wee Care, Jimmy Dean, Her son getting injured and needing crutches; broadcasting gospel on Plainview’s first radio station, Her grandson helping out at a funeral home and church
