Mrs. Wolffarth reads an account written by her grandfather, George M. Hunt, concerning his early days on the South Plains. This story appeared in several installments in early issues of the Lubbock Avalanche. This tape was made by the Southwest Collection in October 1972 from a wire recording in the possession of Neely Wolffarth of Lubbock.
