Gene Carpenter is a former men’s basketball player having played on the Texas Tech University team during the early fifties. In this interview Gene addresses his career in the sports industry from past to present, giving account for the changes that have taken place. He also discusses flaws in the system, how the media has influenced sports, and also how the professional area of sports affects high school and college level athletes.
