This interview features Evalene McDonald as she reflects on her life and the stores her family runs and owns. In this interview, McDonald begins by describing her family background and her parents. She then moves on to recall memories of the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, and World War II. McDonald moves on to describe her marriage and her husband and his business the Trading Post as well as her own business Evalene’s Imports. The interview closes with Evalene and her son reflecting on how Plainview has changed over the years.
