Abstract
Life, Started a beauty school, Big in hair styling, Has had a wonderful life, Born in Gorman, Texas, Father was a peanut father, Moved to West Texas when she was 1, Father became a cotton farmer, Lived out in the country, Closest neighbor was 2-3 miles away, Walked down to her neighbor’s farm by herself to get cookies, Had a Model T with curtains, Had to cross a cattle guard, Fell out the car because she was scared of her dad, Never mean to her but she was always scared of him, Too young to have walked that far, Played games on the weekend for fun, Made homemade ice cream and played games, Parents would play 42 dominoes and she finally was old enough to play, Parents bought a piano so learned how to play that really, Could play Claire de loon on the Organ, Piano teacher came to the house to teach her to play but first learns at school, Beauty school start, Went to only beauty school at the time, Wanted to go to beauty school instead of Tech, Wind up going to Tech for 2 years and 2 summers then went back to beauty school, Majored in business and helped In the long run, Opened her own business, Did hair instead of studying, Never wanted to cut men’s hair since it was so short, Taught a woman how to do her first end perm, Had to get a loan to get her school started, Kept makeup on at night and took it off in the morning when husband left, Did a face cleaning program, One day went downtown and wrote a check in her dads name, Never did it again
