Tape 1, Side 1: Born on January 6, 1901 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico; Her father’s name is Luis Chavez, does not mention her mother’s name; Mentions a brother named Victoriano Chavez; Describes life at The Aguilar Estate; Explains the revolution in Mexico; Remembers her education; Her husband’s name is Juan Argüello; Talks about her children; She mentions at least two children who have already passed away.

Tape 1, Side 2: Had marital problems; Came to Welder with her family; Worked in cotton fields; Mentions how much she suffered because of the arduous work that had to be done; Mentions that on occasion she had to take her children with her to work. One of her boys got bitten by aunts while one of her daughter got bitten by chickens; Moved to Big Spring; Some of her children went to school; Reminisced about Mexico; Went to Colorado, worked in beet;
