Pauline Bean speaks of her association with Texas Tech and her activities with various volunteer organizations in Lubbock, Texas. Her husband, Russell Bean, was the son of Judge George R. Bean. This tape was recorded on the day that Mrs. Bean received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Texas Tech College of Home Economics.
