This interview is part of recording Texas Tech University history. Stella graduated from Lubbock Dunbar High School and was the first non-transfer black student to graduate from Texas Tech University. Recently retired from after a distinguished teaching career, Stella was in Lubbock, Texas tending to her mother’s estate.
