Abstract

Tape 1, Side 1: One hour and forty minute tribute to Tommy Dorsey carried over a Fort Wayne (Indiana ?) radio station, Famous Dorsey songs: "Once in a While", Charlie Spevick (?), an original member of the Dorsey band, gives praise to Dorsey and his style, Dorsey songs: "Boogy Woogy", "Hawaiian War Chant", Paul Whiteman (?), who hired the Dorsey brothers in his band, comments on the Dorsey brothers' personalities, and Tommy's discovery of Frank Sinatra, Plays Dorsey songs, Herb Hayworth (?) discusses the Scranton Siren Band that the Dorsey brothers headed, Dorsey songs, "Summertime"
