Abstract
Box Camera, They are looking at pictures, Wayne and his daughter, His father, Controversy over the genealogy, He has a collection of postcards, Pictures of artwork, Poster of Alice Cooper, Early Life, West Texas Hospital, When he was born, he brought a huge blizzard with him, School- Wilson, Sophomore- Urinary infection, Had to stay back a grade because he missed so much school, Went to Lubbock High, Back to Wilson for a semester, Dropped out and took the GED and passed it, He tested out of school, Musical taste, British invasion, He liked Buddy Holly, Coffee houses, The Token coffee house, Fabulous furry freaks, The purple onion, Working, Dubbi Brothers, Busey- Sysco sound, First full time employee, Country Kitchen- 4 piece band, Female vocals, Male lead rhythm, 1974, Duke Rose, Blues Image, “Ride Capitan ride”, Dubbi Brothers, Worked the stage, Side by side with the engineers, First major band that he worked, Blues Image, First tour that he worked on, Chris Marshall, Worked his people really hard, Crossing paths, Bob Livingston, Mickey Rafael, Mic feedback, South Plains College, A lot of training came from out there, Photography, He does not know where his inspiration came from, He worked for a man who photographed the, Fraternities and Sororities at Texas Tech, 1977-78 started, He went from Sysco sound to a cattle company, Cole water, Gary Stewart, A lot of country music, He played country music on albums but, Rock n roll for concerts, You have to feel that “kick” in order to dance, Wayne says that Country is Rock n Roll, Started taking pictures in Cole Water, Pictures, A lot of pictures he took were from a distance, Joe, Butch, Nick Lowe, Carlene Carter, Reactions, Most pictures were no flash, The musicians do not know that he was taking pictures, More Pictures, The pictures that the AV department are going to, Digitize have never been seen by the public, His pictures have been accumulated over a long slow process, He would set up the sound, and then take pictures, Lubbock, He would take pictures of bands that came, Through Lubbock, He would take them to Buddy Holly’s grave, English musicians – U2 did not have time, very young, Larry Mullins Jr. and Wayne himself helped them set up, It was the band and one guy, Bono and The Edge began calling themselves that, They both have the same name, David, Wayne had no doubt U2 was going to be big, A very small crowd, Pat Benetar, They nicknamed her “Patty the Bitch”, Wayne’s boss wanted pictures of her, She had the crowd kicked outside until the sound check, Was finished, Live sound to Television, Around the time Stevie Ray Vaughn died, Wayne had a baby, Decided live shows was not the best way to go, Installation of club equipment, Eventually moved to the West coast, Ex wife lived in the Pacific Northwest, Ran out of money, opened up a Seattle branch, DSI Inc.. (Diamond Systems Incorporated), Unemployment, Wife left with Baby, Studied broadcast technology in Tacoma, Plans, Eventually wants to go back to photography, Does not have the updated technology
