Shala discusses growing up in Colorado, her early interest in art, her marriage to Jess Bill, living on a ranch near Walsh, Colorado, and surviving cancer. Shalah describes how her experiences led her to become a sculptor. As such, Shalah also discusses her creative process and her mentality as an artist

Shalah and Jess talk with Andy about their natural surroundings and wildlife in, Birth and Early life in Walsh, Colorado, Shalah talks her very first art class in Sand Arroyo Bank, Jess Bill talks about his history in Colorado and his parents’ homestead, Jess Bill discusses how he and Shalah got their land and the cattle they ran, Jess talks about how he moved around as a kid and all the schools he attended, Shalah discusses how being diagnosed with cancer got her back into sculpting, Shalah talks about when she began selling her pieces, Shalah talks about connecting poetry to her artwork and seeing the world in “rhythm”, Shalah discusses the process of creating her pieces from the idea to the final product, Shalah talks about how she learned to draw, and paint, those that taught her, Shalah talks about how she knows when a piece is complete, Shalah talks about her children
