Mrs. Emily Alford Harris, in a previously recorded interview, recalls her childhood and early experiences in Brownwood. Her daughter, Mrs. Jermie Kerr, gives some family background in a brief interview. Mrs. Marie Sapenter, granddaughter of Mrs. Harris and an accomplished pianist, recalls her career and tells of her present musical activities in Brownwood; she was the first black to be featured in a recital at Howard Payne University.
