V. O. Stamps used radio to promote the sale of gospel music songbooks published by the Stamps-Baxter Music Company. Six 15-minute broadcasts present Stamps and his Quartet singing sample of their Southern gospel music. The first two were prepared for broadcast by WSM in Nashville, Tennessee, probably in November 1937. The other four were prepared for broadcast along the Texas-Mexico border, probably in 1937.
