Ms. Harris's mother was born in Buffalo, NY in 1894.  In the early 1900's (at around age 10), she began singing in theaters and was known as &amp;quot;The Little Girl with the Big Voice&amp;quot;.  Harris's father was a singer from PA, sang 2nd bass in vaudville shows.  Harris's parents met while both performing bvaudeville prior to WWI.  Harris's father jpined the military for WWI.  Her mother contuniued performing and travelled to Florida in a Morgan Tent Show and was a single woman, which was odd in those days.  When father returned from the service, they married.  After marrying, they began their own show and travelled with a man named Meyers.  Harris's father played the &amp;quot;straight man&amp;quot; to Meyers's &amp;quot;funny man&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;
