Jerry Grimes was born in Trent Texas in the 1930s. She grew up in the Roscoe area and attended Texas Technological College. She worked as a switchboard operator in one of the dorms. She married in the early 1950s and had four children. She became involved in various volunteer organizations in the 1970s onward and discusses what she could remember of those groups, including being president of the Lubbock Women’s Club in the 1990s.
