Joy, Latrelle Bright 2022-08-17
In this interview, Lubbock city Councilwoman Latrelle Bright Joy provides further information on her children and grandchildren. She discusses some of the volunteer work she did in the 1970s while raising her children, and then going back to Texas Tech law school at age thirty-five. After law school, she began working for Warlick Carr in his law firm. Various cases are discussed, along with her focus on family law and eventually collaborative law. She retired as a lawyer after thirty-five years. Joy also discusses changes to Lubbock downtown and some of the major figures she worked with in addition to Carr.
