This interview focuses on the life of Juan Peña, covering his family’s history in West Texas, in particular his childhood and family life in Fort Stockton as it relates to Mexican Americans in the town. Peña’s discusses his educational experiences at the University of Texas in Austin as well as the University of Texas El Paso, at that time Texas Western. In the second half of the interview, Peña details his career in the military and his work as a social worker.
