Background, Born in Osage County, Oklahoma, Born on August 9, 1920, Now name Barnstole, Moved to the Southwest, Graduated from High School in Oklahoma City, Moved to Houston in 1937 during the depression, Worked as a secretary for Exxon, Daily chore keeping the yard clean, Attended Church of Christ, Has great cousins, Maiden name was Talbutt, Has family in Kentucky, Houston in 1937, Ferguson liked living there, Houston was different, Loved going to Galveston, Keith, Born on July 3, 1946, “Pop” wasn’t interested in a baby boy, Keith was spoiled when he was old enough, “Grown up to start with”, Keith asked about mating, Ducks fertilizing eggs, Had a gift of drawing, Left handed, Music, He would ride his bike across town outside the black churches to listen to music, Age 9, Started playing in High School, Ferguson did not hear her son play for quite some time, Went to California after he graduated and made a living out of music 1964, Ferguson took Keith to New York, Friend needed a guitar player at prom; Keith played the guitar upside down, San Jacinto High School, Ferguson was not going to interfere with his career choice, Ferguson wishes that he would have pursued his art more, Liked customized everything, Lived life like an art form, Artistic sense of design and taste, Keith was sort of a home body, Did not like being cold, Loved the house his mom bought, So smart, Knew many things, Read a lot, Observer, Liked to watch TV, Liked to make model planes, Like to create things, Very dexterous, Constantly creative, even in conversation, Liked Cajun music, Trendsetter, Collected tattoos over seas, Connected to the band Crackerjack, In the Black Kangaroo band, Bruce Boland, Voted President of the Leisure Brother’s Car Club, Hot rods, Travelling, Travel Logs, When Ferguson turned 18 she wanted to join the State Department, Mother did not want to travel, With 3 weeks of vacation Ferguson went to Portugal, She went alone, Early travelling was alone, Age 49 when Ferguson began travelling, Studied French, Majored in French, Went to Budapest, Not accustomed to luxury, Loved South America, Went to Central Asia, Always had a roommate, Two exceptionally good roommates, Went to Russia on tour, Favorite trip, Flew to New Orleans and then to San Jose, Came to Central America from San Jose on a bus, Such Fun, Went to the Grand Canyon, Travelled with one bag, Currently has her first wheeled bag, Fergusons artistic abilities, Could sing before she lost her voice, Could copy drawings, Loves marbles and textiles, Liked dancing, Father and Son relationship, Father did not want much to do with Keith until he was house broken, Father spoiled him, Father lied a lot, Father wrote Keith a letter and from then on Keith had nothing to do with him, Keith was a baby when his parents divorced, Father, Name was John, Died in an unknown year, Father was a postman, Ferguson did not know John’s family, Two brothers, Both ran away from home, Mother was very mean, Keith did not know his Grandparents on his Father’s side, Took Keith to Amarillo to meet some family members, Visited Ferguson’s brother Dillard, Fergusons wife was also mean, Brother helped straighten Keith out, Keith stayed long enough for Dillard to be a good example, Family, Keith was really close to Fergusons mom, Grandmother spoiled him, Grandmother lost a son so when Keith was born she took over, Lived in San Antonio, Keith went to New Braunfels in the summer and loved it, Keith enjoyed his mother’s traveling, she would bring him scarves, Mother sent Keith’s handwriting to an analyst when he was younger, the result was that Ferguson would never understand her son, which was true. Fergusons results were that she acted younger than she actually was, Career, Keith played music and toured, Ferguson got to meet some of the people Keith worked with, Keith was well thought of, Keith’s friends “adopted” his mother, Going out to dinner with a good friend of Keith’s Mike Steele, Mike is an old friend who is very respectable and knows a lot about Keith’s music career
