This interview features Marie Wallace as she discusses her career with the Soil Conservation Service in Texas. In this interview, Wallace describes how she got her position with SCS and how she met her husband. She then goes on to explain her husband’s service in World War II and the stories he would tell about it. Wallace then details what it was like working as the secretary to the state conservationist, and her involvement with the retirement meet-ups
